The Star Wars Episode 7 cast has not been finalized, and Dominic Monaghan (best known for his role in “Lost” and “Lord of the Rings”) really wants to join the upcoming blockbuster.
Monaghan on Twitter said that the number of calls he’d made to JJ Abrams, who is directing the next Star Wars film, was “less than 4,000,” indicating a massive number of calls.
Previously, at the premiere for “Lone Ranger,” Monaghan told Desde Hollywood that he couldn’t answer whether he’d be part of the cast, while smiling.
“Ask J.J. Abrams,” he said. “He’ll know.”
Others with rumored roles include original actors Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill.
Other names linked to the movie, which is due out December 2015, include Benedict Cumberbatch and Leonardo DiCaprio.
