WTA Roundup: Emma Raducanu Wins Return in Auckland

Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu won her first match after an eight-day layoff, edging Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6–3, 4–6, 7–5 on Tuesday at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand.

The 2021 U.S. Open champion needed two hours and 27 minutes to win her first competition since Stuttgart in May, following multiple wrist and ankle surgeries.
