Texas Tech has one more major step after ousting a dominant Oklahoma softball team from the Women’s College World Series (WCWS) on June 2.

The Red Raiders (53–12) halted a Sooners dynasty that’s one for the ages, and Texas Tech can make it a storybook finish against Texas in the WCWS, a best-of-three series that begins June 4. Texas Tech beat Oklahoma 3–2 with a walk-off RBI sacrifice fly by  sophomore Lauren Allred on Monday to advance to the finals in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma had a 52–9 record going into the game.
