Venus Williams to Make Singles Return at Toronto

Seven-time Grand Slam winner and former World No. 1 Venus Williams will play her first singles match in nearly a year at Toronto’s National Bank Open next month.

The 42-year-old Williams accepted a wild-card entry into the main draw of the Aug. 8–14 WTA 1000 tournament, organizers said Wednesday.
