ATLANTA—Chris Sale threw seven shutout innings to log his third straight scoreless start and the Atlanta Braves beat the San Diego Padres 3–0 on Monday night to earn a split of a doubleheader while ending a four-game losing streak.
The Padres overcame a five-run deficit in the first game of the day-night twin bill to defeat the Braves 6–5, San Diego’s third consecutive victory in the series.
