Packers Cut Two-Time All-Pro Cornerback Jaire Alexander

Alexander struggled with injuries the past two seasons, playing just seven games in each.

The Green Bay Packers are moving on from Jaire Alexander.

The Packers announced Monday that they had released the two-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro after seven seasons. Alexander has had a reputation as one of the top players at his position, but injuries have dogged him the past two seasons. Green Bay will absorb $17 million in dead cap over the next two years but save more than $34 million in cap space.
