LOS ANGELES—Trevor Moore scored three goals for his second career hat trick, and the Los Angeles Kings snapped a three-game losing streak while eliminating the Seattle Kraken from the Stanley Cup playoff race with a 5–2 victory at home on Wednesday night, April 3.

Adrian Kempe and Kevin Fiala also scored, and goaltender Cam Talbot made 21 saves for the Kings. Los Angeles pulled within one point of the Nashville Predators for the top wild-card playoff position in the NHL’s Western Conference by ending its longest losing streak since the 1–6–4 midseason skid that cost former Coach Todd McLellan his job.
