Denis Bouanga and Ryan Hollingshead each recorded a brace, leading host Los Angeles FC to a 5–2 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Game 1 of their best-of-three first-round playoff series.

Bouanga, the 2023 MLS Golden Boot winner, scored in the 29th and 64th minute for the defending MLS Cup champions.
