Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he offered edge rusher Micah Parsons the most guaranteed money for a non-quarterback in the NFL.

Parsons and the Cowboys have been embroiled in a bitter drama over a long-term extension. In an interview with Pro Football Hall of Famer and Cowboys legend Michael Irvin on Thursday, Jones said that he conducted negotiations with Parsons and made him an offer, but that when he was about to send the offer to Parsons’s agent, David Mulugheta, he told him not to bother.
