ST. LOUIS—Yasmani Grandal homered, Nick Gonzales drove in the winning run with a single in the eighth inning, and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 on Thursday night to snap a three-game losing streak.
Pirates starter Luis Ortiz allowed two runs on five hits and had seven strikeouts in six innings.
