OMAHA, Neb.—Eleventh-seeded Duquesne scored the first significant upset of this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament, and its first March Madness victory since 1969, by knocking off Brigham Young 71–67 in an East Region first-round game on Thursday.

Dae Dae Grant scored 19 points, while Jakub Necas added 12 points, six assists, and three blocked shots, and Jimmy Clark III tallied five of his 11 points in the final 88 seconds as the Dukes (25–11) won their ninth consecutive game.
