Kevin Padlo hit a two-run homer to cap off an eight-run first inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers demolished the San Diego Padres 14–1 in the first game of MLB spring training on Thursday, Feb. 22, in Peoria, Ariz.
All 14 of the Dodgers’ runs were scored in just two innings, as they plated six more in the sixth. Twelve players had one hit apiece, including two-run, ground-rule doubles by Teoscar Hernandez and Chris Owings during the first-inning barrage.
