Colorado will turn to the future with a freshman quarterback as Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders faces his first-ever losing season as a college coach.

The head coach confirmed on Tuesday that he will start recent five-star recruit and true freshman quarterback Julian Lewis on Saturday against West Virginia. Lewis will become the third quarterback to start for the Buffaloes, which have fallen on hard times amid a 3–6 season.
