HONG KONG—Elite bowlers Tony Cheung and Vivian Yip both became the second players to successfully defend their Bowler of the Year (BOTY) title in the history of lawn bowls in Hong Kong.

Representing Hong Kong Football Club, Cheung won the National Singles and Indoor Singles and finished second in the National Triples.  At international level, he represented Hong Kong to win the pairs in the Asian Championship and finished second in the World Champion of Champions Singles and the Singles at the Asian Championship.  He also helped HKFC to win their first top flight Premier League title in 12 years and skipped the champion rink in the competition.
