Biological Male Fails in Bid for NCAA Woman of the Year Award

Lia Thomas, a biological male, has failed in a bid to win the 2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Woman of the Year award.

Thomas, 22, from the University of Pennsylvania, back in March 2022 became the first openly transgender athlete to win a Division I national NCAA title in a women’s swimming race.
