College football teams part of the Big Ten Conference will begin playing in October, conference officials said Wednesday, a move supported by President Donald Trump.

The Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors voted unanimously to resume the season on Oct. 23 after being presented with information by a task force regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
