Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said joining the team was the best thing for his soul.

Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with Pittsburgh on Friday. Speaking to reporters after his first practice at mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Rodgers said that head coach Mike Tomlin was one of the main draws to the team, as was star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. Rodgers said he has been dealing with some personal issues but finally felt ready to join the team.
