DAYTONA BEACH, Fla—“Corvette” Daytona Prototypes dominated the second practice session for the Tudor United SportsCar Series 52nd Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The #42 Oak Racing LMP2 Morgan-Nissan was the quickest non-Corvette DP, a full 1.1 seconds behind the #99.

This does not bode well for the P2 cars come race day.

The session restarted six minutes later but was then cut short when the #25 8Star PC pulled to the side exiting the East Horseshoe with a small fire in the engine bay. Track workers were on the scene almost immediately; the fire was extinguished before it did serious damage and driver Tom Kimber-Smith was not injured.
