South Carolina State University on Lockdown After Shooting; 1 Student Shot

South Carolina State University (SC State) is on lockdown on Friday after a shooting.

One student was shot and police are pursuing a suspect.

“Police have not yet apprehended a suspect but they are currently in pursuit of the person they believe to be the perpetrator,” the university said via Twitter.

“We are currently on lock-down, however as police continue to search for the suspect, students are urged to take precautions.”
