Ten people suffered minor injuries when ice fell through the ceiling of a glass atrium at the Sony Building on Madison Ave. on Saturday night. Authorities say the ice crashed through two panels right before midnight, according to an Associated Press report. No one was seriously injured and were taken to nearby hospitals, according to officials. The ice fell through panels located at the 32nd floor. The New York City Buildings Department stated that the building’s owners failed to properly clear snow and ice away, citing a recent advisory they sent out. The owners could face as much as a $25,000 fine.
