The Sons of Anarchy season 7 will premiere soon--September 9--and spoilers are coming out about what’s going to happen.

The premiere picks up a couple of weeks after Jax’s wife Tara was killed by Gemma.

MTV got to watch the premiere and has dropped some hints about what will happen.

First, it confirmed that the premiere is dark.

“Yeah, Tara’s death looms heavy over everyone in the season premiere, which I’m sure you can all understand. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some moments of levity—a couple of them even involve Juice, which is insane given his current life situation—but from the moody, violent opening montage to the, well, moody, violent closing montage, everything that’s happened over the past six years is getting to SAMCRO like never before.”

Also, Gemma feels remorse over what happened--but instead of getting high like she did to deal with troubles in the past, she’s turning to “surprising characters” for support, and being nice and motherly to Wendy.

Jax, meanwhile, is all in, with Tara out of the picture. He’s focused on being a good leader and setting up alliances with other clubs, but he’s also focused on vengeance--first for a rival gang that Gemma framed for Tara’s “hit.”

“The result is gory and extremely messed up, so be prepared for Jax to be more of a twisted anti-hero (Walter White style) than a clear hero for the final season,” MTV says.

Juice is out there cut off from the club and in hiding. He has allies in Gemma and an unknown person but someone eventually finds out his secret, leading to a situation.

Nero features heavily in the premiere, trying to keep things between the Mayans and the Sons good. And Marilyn Manson’s character Ron Tully, a high-ranking Aryan Brotherhood official, is introduced in the episode.

“Jax does something absolutely nightmare-inducing to grab his attention — in order to form an alliance, of course — so be prepared to feel the need to vomit very early on in the night,” according to MTV.
