Sons of Anarchy season 7 is currently under production while show creator Kurt Sutter and his team work on the other episodes.

Filming began in late May, with Sutter letting fans know in one of his YouTube updates that episodes 1, 2, 3 are done and ready for filming while scripts are being written for episodes 4, 5, and 6.

“We are in the process of breaking episode 7, which is usually a big episode for us,” he said. “It’s sort of, it ends up being ... the same way a premiere sets in motion the bigger elements of the season, episode 7 tends to bring some of those things to some sort of conclusion, then sets up what will ultimately be some of the bigger story elements that will bring us into the end of the season.”

“It’s a big one,” he added.

Now Sutter has discussed a little about episode 4.

“Working on my draft of 704. It just gets darker,” he said via Twitter.

He then went on in his trademark joking manner: “And yet more tasty. Ginger sauce tasty. With a hint of soured elderberry Manischewitz.”

Other recent announcements concerning the final season include the addition of Marilyn Mansion as white supremacist Ron Tully and Annabeth Gish as the new sheriff.

Earlier this year, other cast commitments were clarified through media reports and by show creator Kurt Sutter. CCH Pounder (DA Tyne Patterson) and Kim Dickens (Colette Jane) will appear in the final season but only in a limited capacity, two to four episodes each.

Drea de Matteo (Wendy Case) was promoted to a series regular, while Jimmy Smits (Nero Padilla) and Peter Weller (Charles Barosky) are among the regulars returning along with others such as Katey Sagal (Gemma Morrow) and Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller).

Season 7 is slated to premiere in September 2014.
