“Sons of Anarchy” actor Donal Logue, who plays Lee Toric, has reportedly been offered a role in the upcoming “Gotham” TV show on Fox.

Latino Review reported that Logue was offered the role for Det. Harvey Bullock.

Bullock “is in his 40s and described as Gordon’s mentor in the pilot,” the website says.

The show will explore the origins of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains in the city before Batman’s rise. Gordon in the show is still a detective and hasn’t met Batman yet.

Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly had announced that the show will feature Bruce Wayne.

“The show will arc a young Bruce Wayne from a child (around 12) into the final episode of the series, when he will put on the cape. We will see how they get to become who they are as Gotham is teetering on the edge. It is an operatic soap that has a slightly larger-than-life quality,” he said.

Logue, however, shot down the report.

“Not true! I wish-would be awesome (but who could top Gary Oldman?) From what I heard, ‘Gotham’ catches Gordon in his late 20’s,” he wrote on Twitter

“Gotham” is slated to show in late 2014.
