NEW YORK—More than 100 New York soldiers who served in Kuwait are returning home on Christmas Eve.

The New York National Guard soldiers are from the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. They have just demobilized at Camp Shelby, Miss.

The soldiers are estimated to arrive at Hancock Field in Syracuse Monday evening. Buses were provided to take the soldiers home to New York City, Latham, New Windsor, Rochester, and Buffalo.

Around 115 returned to New York on Dec. 20, and 120 came home on Saturday.

There are currently more than 1,700 New York Army National Guard soldiers in the 27th Brigade mobilized at Camp Shelby. Five hundred more soldiers will continue to be demobilized.
