The Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) says its vaccine supply was not affected by a refrigeration issue at its Aliso Viejo distribution site.

About 6,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were jeopardized Feb.  10 due to a refrigeration temperature irregularity at Soka University. Additional vaccine was brought in to fulfill scheduled appointments while county health officials contacted Pfizer to inquire whether the doses were still usable.

The manufacturer later told OCHCA that the temperature variance didn’t compromise the vaccine, the county said. It was deemed safe for use.
