PORT JERVIS—UpFront Exhibition Space in Port Jervis opened for the season April 1 and held its artists’ reception on April 9 for the 8th year in a row. There were so many people, co-owner Debbie Raia said it was hard to see the walls at the peak of the evening and she had people coming in an hour early. She says this kind of turnout is common for the first-of–the-season receptions, and this year it brought in a lot of sales. The exhibition space opened in 2008 with 20 artists. On April 9, there were over 45. All art is for sale and the show will run through May 22. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or by appointment by calling 845-754-5000.
