Bruce Ahlswede got a surprise when he went into the bathroom at the San Antonio Starbucks he was in. There was a snake in the toilet, with its head sticking out.

At first he thought it was fake, but when it moved he went and told employees.

“I said ‘Hey, you know you’ve got a snake in your bathroom?’ And she’s kind of freaking out, so we went back in and watched it as it slithered back and around, down underneath the rim of the bowl and right inside,” Ahlswede told KVUE

Experts told the broadcaster it was likely a Texas Rat Snake, which aren’t poisonous and sometimes get into toilets and other plumbing.

Starbucks brought in a specialist who examined the store and couldn’t find the snake.

People commenting on the picture Michele Ahlswede posted to Facebook had a lot to say.

“OMG! I think I would have really needed to use the restroom after seeing that,” said Susan Keyser Rodriguez.

“I have ocd and now I am not going to be able to use the bathroom anywhere including my house without looking first. This used to be a huge fear of mine,” said Nikki Gallardo.

“Makes you wonder what else is in the sewer pipes in San Antonio,” said Michele.
