Police are responding to multiple 911 calls of shots fired at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California.
San Bruno Police said there is “an active shooter,” asking people to stay away from Bay Hill Drive and Cherry Ave. in the city. YouTube is located at 901 Cherry Ave.

ABC News reported that about 1,700 people work inside the building, while CBS San Francisco reported that multiple victims were taken to the hospital after the shooting.
YouTube product manager Todd Sherman said on Twitter that employees first believed there was an earthquake. Then people started running out of their meetings, Sherman said, and then word spread that someone had a gun.

There is definitely some kind of police action / possible shooting at youtube in San Bruno. my brother just and others went running out of the building when hearing firecracker like sounds. 5 police cars came rushing to the scene…

Sherman added that he saw blood on the stairs and on the floor.
“I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs,” he said on Twitter. “Peaked [sic] around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front.”

“We see lots cops and firefighters,” Michelle Tam, a hostess at the Hashes & Brews, told the Los Angeles Times.
“We can’t see any people. It’s just a lot of trucks along the street at the moment.”

Three YouTube workers came into the restaurant and were shaken.
“They came in from a back door,” she said. “They sat down at a table. They were in a daze. One guy, there was a little blood on his head.”
Tam said an employee told her that he had a bullet fragment lodged in his shoe.
YouTube, the second-most trafficked website in the world, is a subsidiary of Google.
