Shooting Leaves One Anaheim Teen Dead, Another in Jail

A fatal shooting inside an Anaheim apartment complex led to the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect, police said Feb. 17.

The homicide happened Feb. 5, shortly before 6 p.m., in the 3000 block of East Jackson Avenue, the Anaheim Police Department said in a release.

Responding officers discovered a teen suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The boy was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

A 17-year-old Anaheim resident was arrested Feb. 11 in connection with the death.

Homicide detectives are not releasing the motive, or the relationship between the suspect and victim. Neither name will be released, since both are underage.
