On an episode of The Oprah Winfrey show which aired on May 27, 2004, actress Sharon Stone shared with the public about how she underwent a near death experience.

“I had that whole white light thing,” Stone said.

Stone said that it happened after an the doctors performed an MRI on her, she was unconscious in the tube, and when she came out of the tube and doctors were talking to her she experienced what’s known as a “near death.”

“It’s sort of like passing out but you sort of pass up,” she said. Stone suffered a stroke that lead to a brain hemorrhage in 2001.

The experience started off with an explosion of white light.

“It’s just a lot of white light and you see people that have passed on, and they talk to you, and then you pop right back into your body,” Stone said.

The experience, however, did not leave Stone surprised, instead she felt an “incredible sense of well-being,” and described the feeling as beautiful.

“It’s a very near and very safe... and loving, and gentle, and OK [feeling], and there’s nothing to be afraid of,” she said.
