Shallow grave off freeway: Police are looking into a shallow grave near the 105 Freeway in Downey, Calif., according to the Los Angeles Times.
The grave was discovered over the weekend just off the freeway, specifically located near Bellflower Boulevard.
It was discovered by a California Highway Patrol deputy, who relayed the information to homicide detectives.
Police did not give the identity of the victim or the cause of death. A description of the remains was also not given.
ABC News reported that as police investigated the grave, traffic was slowed on Monday.
Sgt. Vince Rosario of the Downey Police Department told CBS News that the body was found at around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Downey police are reportedly still investigating the grave.
