The Epoch Times asked Bay Area locals what kind of gun control policies makes sense to them.
Robert Castaneda, 43, bicycle courier, Oakland

“I think background checks are a must, and they should stop any sales of guns at gun shows.”
Anicia Anya, 22, administrative assistant, San Francisco

“I definitely think it should be regulated. Individuals should have to go through extensive screening to obtain a gun and also renew their license to obtain a gun.”
Tony Do, 27, insurance brokerage assistant, San Leandro

“I’m not too versed on how the gun control laws are right now. But I think that people should have the right to bear arms. Obviously there are some weapons that are for military use only, like automatic weapons. But your basic revolvers and 9 mm—people should be able to own those.”
Lyn Palme, 60, librarian, Walnut Creek

“I think it’s way too lenient now. I would like to see very strict gun control; no magazines, no automatic weapons.”
