Seven lion cubs with a rare snow-white coat were born at a zoo in Himeji, Japan. Three lionesses gave birth to the cubs at Himeji Central Park on Jun 6, 26, and 30.

The cubs’ thick white fir resembles a sheep’s coat and park staff nicknamed them “the white lambs.” According to zoo staff, the names of the cubs will soon be released.

White lions are indigenous to South Africa, where they are considered sacred animals. There are only 300 white lions in the world today.
