Congress owes the American people “a full accounting” of the critical delay in evacuating lawmakers at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, according to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

Reacting to an investigation by The Epoch Times that showed the U.S. Capitol Police’s No. 2 commander never responded to a USCP lieutenant who repeatedly asked for authorization to evacuate the U.S. Senate, Johnson said it’s another example of the need for answers related to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the Capitol building.
