The Senate, in a rare weekend session on Oct. 25, voted 51–48, largely along party lines, to limit debate on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court nomination.

The result sets up Barrett to be confirmed as soon as Oct. 26, handing President Donald Trump a decisive judicial victory ahead of Election Day.
