Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) is accusing Tea Party elected officials of bringing politics to the World War II memorial after they helped war veterans enter the closed off space on Wednesday.

“Politics about veterans is bad manners,” sad McCaskill while greeting veterans from Missouri, the state she represents, reported Alexis Levinson of the Daily Caller.

“We’ve got some people playing politics here,” she said, reported Ryan Reilly of the Huffington Post.

Elected officials from the Tea Party formed a so-called recieving line to greet veterans before the veterans entered the memorial.

McCaskill said the line was actually blocking veterans from getting into the memorial.

Not everyone was pleased the elected officials were there.

“Hey congress go back to work for the American people,” someone yelled out.
