The new Premier hockey season starts this weekend on Saturday Sept. 15 and Sunday Sept. 16 with the Women’s Men’s 9-per side knockout.

This competition has been brought forward from the end to the beginning of the season, to give premier teams an introduction back into the game after a three month rest period; to get their sticks working again; to get tactics back in the mind; and to get a feel for how the other teams have developed over the layoff period.

The only change to the teams in the Premier Division is Punjab-A come up to join the division, making a total of 10 teams, allowing five matches to take place each fixture weekend.

The Hong Kong Hockey Association Premier League season kicks off the following week with matches between HKFC-B and KCC; Valley-A and Pak-A; Shaheen-A and SSSC-A; Elite-A and Khalsa-A; and HKFC-A and Punjab-A.
