Harmonies, a new sculpture exhibition by three Bay Area artists, will open on Sept. 13, at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.
The exhibition by Kati Casida of Berkeley, Catherine Daley of Santa Rosa and Jann Nunn, of Oakland, is the first to be held in the public garden since the October 2017 Tubbs Fire destroyed the garden’s landscaping and old-growth redwood sculptures by local artist Bruce Johnson.
“The original outdoor Sculpture Garden was created as a gift for the Santa Rosa community to enjoy,” said Rick Nowlin, executive director of the Luther Burbank Center.
“We are thrilled to once again be able to provide a communal space to gather and reflect as our resilient community moves forward,” Nowlin said.
Harmonies feature four sculptures from each of the three artists.
“With Harmonies, we are presenting three women, all Bay Area-based artists, who are not only exceptional artists but also will provide the LBC community with a source of inspiration and meditation,” curator Kate Ellersten said.
The sculptures will be on display through Sept. 20, 2020.
