A possible explosion and fire was reported at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, located in California’s Bay Area.
The jail is overseen by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
KCBS broke the story at around 12 p.m.
“Per Incident Commander, no fire in kitchen. Report of an explosion in the oven. 8 patients, 1 pt w/ critical injuries.,” wrote the Alameda County Fire Department on Twitter.
Dublin is located around 25 miles from Oakland.
