A plane crashed at the Santa Monica airport hangar in Southern California on Sunday night.

On Twitter, users posted images of the crash.

“Looks like a terrible accident has happened at Santa Monica airport. I hope I’m wrong,” resident Matt Ross wrote.

Smoke was seen rising from the airport.

CBS Los Angeles reported that the FAA confirmed there was a crash.

Citing the FAA, NBC reported that it was a Cessna Citation that went off the right side of the runway after it landed at the Santa Monica Airport after 6 p.m.

It is unclear if there were any injuries.
