Firefighters responded to a two-car collision that hospitalized six Feb. 7, with one victim in critical condition.

The Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene around 12:31 p.m. near the intersection of South Bristol Street and West Edinger Avenue, according to spokesperson Thanh Nguyen.

According to Nguyen, five adults, and one child were transported to local hospitals.

Paramedics used the “jaws of life”—a tool that can open severely damaged car doors—and removed one of the victims, according to Nguyen.

The Santa Ana Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident and did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
