Korean-Canadian actress Sandra Oh, who is best known for her role as Dr. Cristina Yang on “Grey’s Anatomy” will be leaving the show after its current Season 10. Oh told The Hollywood Reporter last year that she reached the peak of her career with the character on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go,” she said.

Just last week, Oh tweeted a photo with Kevin McKidd, the Scottish actor who played Dr. Owen Hunt on the show.

Oh has been with the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” since 2005, when the show premiered. She starred alongside other principal cast including Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, and Chandra Wilson.

The medical drama will air it’s next episode 21 on Thursday, April 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC. The season has only 3 more episodes with Oh to go after that. “Grey’s Anatomy” was renewed for Season 11.

According to IMDb, Oh will be starring in the 2014 summer comedy “Tammy,” alongside Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon. She is also announced as a cast member for the comedy “33 Liberty Lane.”
