Sandra Bullock has been seeking a new boyfriend as George Clooney, whom she has been linked to in the past, prepares to wed his fiance Amal Alamuddin.
OK Magazine reports that Bullock has been out and about recently with Chelsea Handler.
“Chelsea and her divorced gal-pal Sandra Bullock were recently spotted chatting up single men at West Hollywood’s Soho House,” it said.
“Sandra can be introverted, so she loved going out with Chelsea because she is so outgoing. Chelsea helps her meet guys,” a source told the magazine.
The National Enquirer reported earlier this year that Bullock is jealous of Alamuddin.
“Sandra has secretly carried a torch for George for years. As long as he was single, Sandra held out hope that they might get together romantically someday. But, now that George is set to marry Amal, she’s a wreck,” a source claimed.
“Hearing about that [George’s engagement] just devastated Sandy. It meant that George is off the market for good. It’s hard for Sandy to wrap her mind around it.”
Bullock and Clooney are known to be close and last year filmed the hit movie Gravity together. They both joked about being attracted to each other.
“She may say that she’s not all that attracted to me, but she calls every night, three in the morning, drunk, ”Hey, George, what are you doing?” Clooney told Entertainment Tonight.
“[It’s] non-stop. And then I just send her a bottle of tequila.”
The comments came after Bullock has said that “He’s not everyone’s cup of tea,” adding that “we’ve known each other for so long, sexy is gone.”
“Not that he’s not sexy because he is very, very handsome. If you like that kind of dashing, charming, smart, talented, successful kind of thing,” she added.
Meanwhile, the reports about problems choosing a wedding venue continue, with Clooney allegedly first choosing one venue, switching, then switching back to the original venue.
A source at the registry office at London’s Chelsea Town Hall told Hello Magazine that the couple obtained their legal papers.
“I believe we have given the documents to George’s fiancée and now they are free to go and marry wherever they want,” the source said. “That is the honest truth.”
Among the possible venues is Clooney’s Vila Oleandra on Lake Como, Italy, although some sources told the magazine that Amal believes the residence is “too public” for the wedding. People magazine reported recently that the couple will wed in Venice.
Attendees are expected to include Bullock, Julia Roberts, and Matt Damon.
