Sandra Bullock has announced that she will not be attending the U.K. premiere of The Blind Side, the movie for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress this year.

While she did not give reasons, it is widely suspected that marital problems with her husband Jesse James were a reason.

US Magazine has confirmed that Sandra Bullock will not be going to the U.K. screening of The Blind Side that was organized by Warner Brothers to baptize the film’s Academy Award status. Bullock made an official statement through Warner Brothers U.K. about her time of crisis and inability to go overseas.

“Due to unforeseen personal reasons, a trip abroad to support The Blind Side has been deemed impossible at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your continued support of the film,” stated Bullock.

Bullock’s husband, Jesse James, CEO of popular motorcycle company West Coast Choppers, has yet to make a public statement about the allegations of his infidelity which are believed to the be the reason for the marital problems.

Many different media versions of the marital problems have been made but none of them have been validated by Bullock or James. The negative press has caused James to cancel his Twitter account.

Bullock’s role in The Blind Side won her a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award in addition to her Academy Award. The film also won an Academy Award for best picture.

The Blind Side is a sports-drama about a young football player who is adopted into a foster home and overcomes adversity to be drafted in the NFL. The main character was played by actor Quinton Aaron.
