An American Airlines plane made an emergency landing at the Mineta San Jose International Airport on Friday morning.

The plane apparently hit a bird and was forced to land, ABC-7 reported.

ABC reporter Matt Keller said that passengers on Flight 1118 said they heard a loud boom and saw a flash of light before the plane slowed.

CBS News reported that the bird damaged the ending.

There were no injuries.
