San Francisco Q&A: ‘How much privacy are you willing to give up for more security?’
Jun Wang, 31, healthcare, Daly City: “A little bit of my privacy. Not to the extent that the government is doing that right now. Just to fight the current terrorism campaigns, I think I am willing to give up just a little bit of my privacy, but not as much as what the government is imposing on its citizens. If the government can keep track of whatever I am doing, in everything that I’m doing in my life, including my credit card information, my cell phone conversations—that’s not acceptable. That’s a total violation of my privacy as a citizen.”
