San Antonio in Texas was hit with extremely icy and cold weather over the past couple days, forcing schools to close on Friday, but the forecast for today into tomorrow calls for rising temperatures that should melt the ice and bring relief to residents.

Friday will remain relatively cold with a high this afternoon near 40 Fahrenheit and a low around 30 Fahrenheit this evening.

But the forecast from the National Weather Service for Saturday calls for mostly sunny weather with a high near 64 Fahrenheit.

Sunday is expected to be even nicer, with a high near 72 Fahrenheit.

The bad news is that beginning on Monday night, temperatures could trend downward again for a couple days, with lows dropping to 26 Fahrenheit on Tuesday night.
