The Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors continue flying, with lots of new information surfacing recently.

One of the biggest pieces of news comes from TrustedReviews, which spoke with a Samsung spokesperson.

Release Date

Asked about the release date for the phone, the representative said that finalized timings are still up in the air. But, it is “looking increasing likely” that the release date will be during this year’s first quarter, which ends on March 31.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was unveiled last march before being released to retailers the following month.

“We don’t know our exact timings yet,” the  spokesperson said. “It will definitely be [the first half of 2014] and it is looking increasingly likely that it will be Q1.”

Kyle Brown, Samsung’s Head of Technical Product Management for IM, added that the Samsung team believes the S5 will be “the best device this year.”

According to Flavio, an Italian freelance journalists, Samsung will hold its next global launch event in London in mid-March. However, it may not be for the S5. This was partially confirmed by SamMobile, which also revealed the specs listed below. The actual launch is expected in April.

Specs and Price

Exclusive details about the specs were leaked to SamMobile, including that there will be both metal and plastic versions.

The metal version will be around $1,090 (800 Euros) while the plastic model will cost around $888 (650 Euros), a similar structure to Apple’s iPhone 5C and 5S.

The phone will have an AMOLED display of 2,560×1,440 resolution, though SamMobile couldn’t confirm the size. It speculates that it will be around 5.25 inches.

The back of the phone will have a 16-megapixel camera, and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat.

For power, models will have either the Exynos 6 processor or a Snapdragon 805 CPU. The Galaxy Note 3 had a Snapdragon 800.
