Roy Bonisteel Dead: Former Television Host Dies at 83

Former Canadian journalist and television host Roy Bonisteel passed away at age 83 on August 16.

Bonisteel used to host the current affairs program “Man Alive” on CBC from 1967 through 1989 and was also a public speaker, a writer, and a citizenship judge, reported the Canadian Press

Lesley Bonisteel, his daughter, said that her father had been battling cancer and passed away at his home north of Trenton.

Bonisteel was born in Ameliasburgh in Prince Edward County in Ontario. 

He is survived by Lesley, son Steve Bonisteel, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
