Roxas City in Capiz Province experienced heavy damage during Typhoon Yolanda (Hainan).
Citing Captain John Andrews, the deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the Reuters news agency reported that the airport terminal was destroyed by the typhoon.
The roof was blown off, he said.
Photos uploaded to Facebook and Twitter show extensive damage to homes and other buildings, including gas stations and other businesses.
Power lines and trees were also blown over.
According to The Associated Press, around 100 people were killed in the tyhpoon--mostly in Tacloban City, where a massive storm surge inundated the city.
